Ingredients:
- 2 ripe avocados
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons red onion, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 slices of your favorite bread
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
- Fresh cilantro leaves for garnish
Instructions:
Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a bowl
Mash the avocados with a fork until smooth but still slightly chunky
Add the minced garlic, chopped red onion, lime juice, salt, and pepper to the mashed avocados
Mix well to combine
Preheat your oven's broiler
In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat
Stir in the garlic powder, dried parsley, dried oregano, and red pepper flakes if using
Place the slices of bread on a baking sheet and brush one side with the garlic herb butter mixture
Place the baking sheet under the broiler and toast the bread until it's golden brown and crispy
Keep a close eye to prevent burning
Remove the toasted bread from the oven and let it cool slightly
Spread a generous amount of the guacamole mixture onto the toasted side of each bread slice
Garnish with fresh cilantro leaves
